Welcome to our online store, and thank you for considering us for your rustic furniture purchase!

Please note - OUR FURNITURE IS MADE TO ORDER. Delivery times are approximately 4-8 weeks from the time that you place an order. This is meant as a guideline, and can vary depending on the size of the order and the specific items that are ordered. We will do everything that we can to get your furniture sent to you as quickly as possible. At times, the wait for an order may be much shorter than 4-8 weeks and occasionally we go a bit longer than our guidelines. We are unable to accomodate orders with deadlines. If you ask us if we can have an order done by a specific date, we will attempt to accomodate you but we can not guarantee that we will have the order done on a specific date.

Our furniture is all hand made and is made from solid wood one piece at a time. Because it is made to order, once the order is placed, your order is put into our order file, or, in a sense, you are getting in line behind the rest of the orders that are in the file at that time. Once your order is placed, please feel free to call us and ask the status, however we often don't have a status available for a few weeks after the order date. When your furniture is ready to be shipped, we will notify you so that you can make arrangements to be available for the delivery.
For Deliveries To You Second Home If your order is going to a "second home" or cabin, and not your main residence please be notified that we often drop ship to these locations. The drop shipper will only do curb side delivery, and the company will call you to set up a delivery appointment. Please understand that the shipping company will do everything that they can to accomodate you, however, they can not always work around your schedule due to the large volume of orders that they deliver. There is no Saturday or Sunday delivery available, and if you are only going to be at your second home on weekends, please make arrangments for someone to be at your delivery location to inspect and sign for the order. Also, curb side delivery means that the shipping company will not unload and bring your furniture inside. You can request an inside delivery quote from us, or arrange to have someone there to help you bring your furniture inside. Note - Customers within MN - Minnesota deliveries are done via our company truck. You may make special arrangements with us if you would like the extra service of having your furniture brought inside for you.

SHIPPING

REDUCED Shipping applies to all orders that will be delivered to the following states: Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa and Illinois. Delivery to these states is drop ship. On larger pieces of furniture, if you need liftgate service as well, please call us for a quote. Drop ship items are curbside delivery only, so if you need the item to be brought inside, arrangements can be made for a fee. Most items in our webstore that are drop ship are notated as such, but please give us a call if you have questions. Once you place your order, we will contact you if any additional fees apply prior to processing your order. All Orders within the Continental U.S. and Canada excluding the reduced shipping zone- please contact us for a shipping quote prior to placing your order. Most of the larger furniture items on our website are drop ship items, which is curbside delivery only.

We do have shipping discounts from our shipping company, which keeps the shipping cost as low as possible. Our goal is to provide the lowest shipping cost that we can and we make every effort to find the lowest price possible to your location!

Shipping to remote locations: mountains, steep driveways, dirt & gravel roads, off road locations -

When possible, our company will deliver to your home or cabin via company truck. Please make arrangements with us if you need help bringing your furniture in and we will do our best to accomodate you.
In the event that you live in a remote location, you need to inform us of this at the time the order is placed. If UPS, FedEx or common carriers are unable to deliver to your location, we may not be able to either. Orders for large items such as pool tables and bars result in a very heavy trailer load. This would most likely not be a problem during the spring, summer and fall, however, we still require notification of your location at the time that you place an order. Please advise us accordingly. Picking up at our Shop You can make arrangements to pick up furniture at our shop location. You will receive a discount off the price of your furniture in these cases. We will determine the discount with you at the time the order is placed. Typically, the discount is 5% off the total order, (on top of any current discounts that we are offering on the store site) .

Delivery Times Weather, accidents and construction can cause dangerous driving conditions. If we have set up a delivery time with you, please be advised that it is never set in stone. Because of unforseen conditions, please understand that we have made every effort to be at your location as close as possible to the time that you are expecting us. Due to the distance that we are traveling, we can not give you an exact delivery time. Traffic and other traveling conditions may cause unforseen delays. These conditions are beyond our control and/or our drivers' control.

The items on our website catalog are representative of our furniture, however, each piece is custom made and will vary slightly from the samples pictured due to the natural characteristics of the logs.

Our Rustic Cedar Furniture is made with northern white cedar. Northern white cedar is very strong despite its characteristic checking and cracking. This is part of the rustic look, and is not a defect in your piece of furniture. Despite some cracking in the logs, they remain extremely sturdy.

There is a slight color variation in northern white cedar. Northern white cedar also has knots, and other natural markings made from beetles or other insects made during the time the log was a tree in the forest.

We use mortise and tenon construction, which is an age old method and still the strongest furniture joint possible.

Glue is applied to ensure that the furniture joint will be sturdy and durable.

We hand peel and buff all of our logs to bring out the natural color of the wood. For those who want a truly rustic look, we leave the knots in place as they occur naturally on the logs. Logs are smoothed and shined on a buffer.

Furniture can be ordered finished or unfinished. On finished pieces, we use a catalyzed lacquer clear coat. This brings out the natural grain and color of the wood and logs, and provides a very smooth surface on table tops.

Our logs are dried for approximately two years. All dimensional wood used is kiln dried.

All table top surfaces are sanded, smooth and level.

We use top of the line drawer slides on our drawers.

Payment Policy

Standard furniture is shipped within 6 to 8 weeks after payment is made. If paying by personal CHECK, we must wait 7 - 10 business days for your check to clear. Once your check has cleared, delivery will be 6 - 8 weeks or 8 - 10 weeks (For custom orders) from the date the check clears our bank.

Custom furniture is made to order. Please allow 8 to 10 weeks for custom pieces. If paying by personal CHECK, we must wait 7 - 10 business days for your check to clear. Once your check has cleared, delivery will be 8 to 10 weeks from the date the check clears our bank.

WE CAN NOT MAKE EXCEPTIONS TO THIS. Please note that our turn around time is a guideline.

We require payment in full at the time of order, or a 50% deposit on custom orders, per our approval.

All items shipped within the state of Minnesota are taxable at a rate of 6.5 % sales tax.

Shipping Policy

You may cancel your order if you do so within 3 business days.

Shipping method depends on product size and weight.

Most of our shipments are sent via Common Carrier. Common Carrier, drop ship items require signature and are brought only to the curb. Some of the smaller items are able to ship via UPS Ground, Fed EX or Parcel Post. PLEASE ALLOW 6-8 WEEKS FROM THE DATE OF THE ORDER for standard furniture and 8-10 WEEKS FROM THE DATE OF THE ORDER OF ALL CUSTOM FURNITURE. If paying by PERSONAL CHECK, please adjust the delivery dates to accomodate for the 7-10 BUSINESS DAYS that it takes for your check to clear our bank.

Any damage created in transit must be reported immediately to the carrier by the customer. Please do not sign for an item until you have inspected it for damage. We are not liable for items damaged during shipping. However, all items are insured. As long as you immediately inspect them and make a note on the shipping statement when you sign it, the shipper insurance will cover the cost of the damage. Damage is rare, but can happen occasionally. We make every attempt to package our furniture so that damage will not occur.

Guarantee

Our furniture has a 5 year limited warranty against manufacturer defects. We will replace or repair defective furniture, based on our discretion. Please contact us regarding manufacturer defects if you have further questions. Natural characteristics of the logs and wood (knots, some roughness, color variation, cracks, for example) are not considered manufacturer defects, as they are normal to rustic style furniture. We make every attempt to construct our furniture to be durable. We understand that despite our best efforts, occasionally a defect will occur, and we will guarantee you resolution should this occur.

In order to obtain warranty service, please provide your receipt.

Kits are not covered under warranty.

Defects caused by modification, alteration or repair by the consumer are not covered under warranty. On items that are to be partially assembled by the consumer, Vienna Woodworks will not be responsible for damage caused to furniture parts by the consumer.

Cancelling an Order

Order cancellations made after 3 days from the date of order are permitted at our discretion only. If an order is approved for cancellation a 5% restocking fee may be charged. However we will attempt to waive this when ever possible.

If you need to make a change to an order, we will charge a 10% fee if the order has already been started. Again, we will attempt to waive this fee when ever possible.

Your order and payment is viewed as a contract – a commitment to placing an order for furniture. This will be non-refundable should you decide to cancel the order after 3 business days. If we have not yet started your order, we will waive the contract if possible, and we will promptly refund your money to you. However we can not guarantee this. All payments will be promptly refunded if cancellation is within the 3 business days. Also, a 6-8 week turn around time is customary for made to order furniture and is standard to this industry. When ordering furniture from us, you are agreeing to our terms and conditions and our turn around time. If an item is delayed or back ordered, please understand that this is customary in any industry. Although we work hard to avoid delays and back orders, they do occasionally happen. If we are unable to fulfill your order in a reasonable amount of time, we will notify you and we will come to a mutual agreement regarding how to best resolve the situation. It is reasonable and customary for made to order furniture to take an average of 6-8 weeks or longer.

Return Policies

Returns will not be accepted except on a case by case basis. If a return is approved, you will be responsible for paying the shipping both to and from your address. You will also pay a 15% restocking fee for an approved return.

We will do everything possible to ensure that you are happy with your purchase. PLEASE work with us to resolve any issues, we are very willing to ensure that you are happy with your order.
